Heart and Stroke Foundation

The Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF), a volunteer-based Canadian health charity, works to eliminate heart disease and stroke and reduce their impact through the advancement of research and its application, the promotion of healthy living and advocacy. HSF is a federation of 10 provincial foundations.
The main sections of the bilingual HSF website are:
• Health Information – Heart Disease, Stroke, Healthy Living, Heart and Stroke Position Statements • Kids/Teens Zone – with separate subsections for children, parents, teachers and other resources • Funded Research • Advocate – information about HSFC activities in the areas of tobacco, stroke, obesity, trans fat, resuscitation/CPR • News • Events • Multilingual and Multicultural Resources – translation and cultural adaptations of brochures, videos and links for populations at greater risk of heart disease and stroke than the general population. Subsections include African-Canadian resources, Chinese resources, Farsi resources, First Nations, Inuit & Métis resources (in Ojibwe, Oji-cree and English), South Asian resources (in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil and Urdu)
A drop-down menu provides access to the provincial organizations’ webpages.
The bottom navigation menu contains sections for professionals and the media, as well as links to related websites. A search function is available.
