The Women's Heart Foundation (WHF), a U.S.-based non-governmental organization that designs and implements demonstration projects for the prevention of heart disease, is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the survival and quality of life for women with heart disease through the promotion of health literacy in gender care.
WHF’s goals are to:
• Educate women as consumers concerning heart disease • Educate health professionals concerning the unique needs of women with heart disease • Advocate for research into the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and outcome of heart disease as it affects women, particularly minority women • Support women as caregivers
WHF specializes in the design and implementation of wellness, prevention and early intervention programs.
